Trenchless methods repair a lateral without opening a trench along its length. Pipe lining cures a new pipe inside the existing one, and pipe bursting pulls a new line through the old path while breaking the old pipe outward. Both need only access pits rather than a full excavation.
On a Wichita property with a mature yard, a driveway or a large tree over the line, that difference is substantial. The surface stays largely intact and the restoration cost drops accordingly.
Neither method works everywhere. A collapsed line, a severe belly or a lateral that has separated at a joint may still need excavation, and we will say which you have rather than selling the method we prefer.
Technician insight
Lining slightly reduces the internal diameter. On an already undersized line that matters, which is another reason the camera inspection comes first.
