Wichita's drain work concentrates in the older neighborhoods where clay tile and cast iron laterals are still in service. Riverside, College Hill, Delano and the near east side all sit in that band, and root intrusion at clay joints is the recurring call.
Newer construction on the west and northeast sides has PVC laterals and a different set of problems, mostly blockages from what goes down the drain rather than what grows into it.
